I have never accepted anything, whether in kind or in cash, in return for my motivation or time spent empowering others. Years ago, I made a commitment to myself that I would never charge a penny. However, my business was disrupted long before demonetisation due to VAT advance collection. With demonetisation came real challenges, and subsequently, GST and GeM further complicated our operations. In response, I adopted a new approach by freelancing.

But the post-lockdown 'new normal' has irreversibly changed our world, rendering our previous way of conducting activities obsolete. The world as we knew it will never be the same again as we embark on a journey to forge a new future. Now, I find myself needing to support both myself and my mission — the Disability project. Therefore, I have decided to charge for my time going forward, aligning it with your budget.

I pledge to allocate a quarter of my earnings towards supporting my community. I hope that my friends, colleagues, peers, and patrons will understand my perspective.

In simpler terms: I must admit that from now on, my time will come at a cost* that aligns with your budget.
